Hope everyone has a great Easter holiday with lots of chocolate and eggs and rabbits (and lamb if you're lucky
Also, this is the first comic I've actually drawn, so be nice! Dimitri works his magic in Flash Pro, and I'm more of an Illustrator guy. Unfortunately Adobe hasn't yet closed the gap between the two. I'm really hoping CS3 changes that so I can draw more of these without wanting to scream at the computer..

Longtime no post. Hope you've all been enjoying the comics!
Here at the offices of Coffee Talk with Dan & Scoti (a.k.a. Dimitri's bedroom in NY and Nick's bedroom in GA), we've been hard at work to provide you excellent service and quality features on the site. Translation: we've made it necessary to sign up on our forum in order to post comments, to do away with the hundreds of porn-spam posts we've been getting!
Originally, we thought making a registration-free forum would make it easier for people to comment on strips, and in return get more comments. Unfortunately, EVERY SINGLE POST by a non-registered user was pornographic spam. Great. So instead of deleting about 50 porn posts a week, we decided to make the forum members-only. Which is free, mind you; it just means new commenters will need to register before posting.
Also, We've added a latest comic image that's automatically updated (so you can put the latest comic on your MySpace, etc.) The code & instructions can be found on the Extras page.
And finally...in a few days...the Dan & Scoti comic search engine. BAM. Think about the possibilities. SEARCHING. For Dan & Scoti comics. The ramifications of this are mind-boggling.
A new post once the search engine is fully operational.
A Look Back at Our First Week

Well we made it through the first week, and we've gotten a lot of feedback from friends and family. Nick and I have been working furiously on the site, improving features and touching up the look and feel of it all. We missed Wednesday's comic because we were busy on other aspects of the site; we hope you forgive us.
Anyway, a whole new week of Dan & Scoti is coming your way starting tomorrow, with 5 more comics posted daily Monday-Friday. Enjoy!
Wallpapers, Buddy Icons, and More!

The Extras page is now up, including wallpapers, AIM buddy icons, desktop icons, and more! This will also be the place where we will post DanScoti Flash games, but that's still a ways away.
Anyway, we've also started advertising as much as possible, including Google AdWords, Facebook ads and MySpace promotions. If you haven't already done so, friend Dan & Scoti on MySpace and Facebook and leave them a comment / wall post!
Back in Action

We're back from vacation and broke as hell! To celebrate, we're going to have Dan & Scoti travel Europe, visiting all the cities we visited. There are 10 in all.. they fly into Madrid, and out of Athens.
Let the hilarity ensue. Stay tuned!
Vacation

Nick and I will be taking a 5 week backpacking trip through Europe over the next month. We will only be uploading 3 comics a week because of it. So, starting Monday May 26th, there will be updates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only.
We will start up the regular 5-comics-a-week come July.

We've made it easier to click through comics. We've changed it so now when you click on the comic on the homepage, it sends you to the next comic. It's as if you clicked the "Next" button.
Simple update, but very necessary. Don't you agree?
A Revamped Facebook App

With all the changes Facebook has implemented since their application debut last year, Nick and I thought it would be appropriate to touch up a bunch of features on the DanScoti Facebook Application.
We've implemented bigger, readible comic sizes on your profile, added comic scrolling capability, as well as wiped away many error messages people were getting and cleared up a bunch of bugs.
We appreciate all the feedback, without it we wouldn't have made so much progress. Don't be shy; continue to contribute!

Well folks, today marks one full year since the first Dan & Scoti comic, so we tried to make today's comic a reminiscent one. We hope you've enjoyed the work we've done over this past year, and we hope if anything it's at least made you smile.
This next year will be even funnier, with new comics, new characters, and new features on the site. We also encourage all who pass through to leave feedback in the forum, and we love requests (if we use your idea, you'll be credited!)
